Best Places To Celebrate Cinco de Mayo In Detroit
Cinco de Mayo is a celebration held in Detroit and other cities across the United States each year on the 5th of May. It is observed to commemorate freedom and democracy from French forces in the Mexican state of Puebla. This is the time to honor Mexican-American culture. The festivities in Detroit are lively, and crowds take to the streets to enjoy the fiesta, which occurs throughout the day. The Detroit area has the largest Mexican population in Michigan, so it’s no surprise that Southwest Detroit, often referred to as Mexicantown, has an array of places to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

Colin Meister Promotion
Congratulations to Colin Meister on his promotion!
Modern is excited to announce another promotion to the team! Mr. Meister started here just weeks ago and now he is already earning his ETT title in our company. Colin got the chance to go on a business trip last week with a couple of the other executives at Modern and learned a lot of new knowledge to help him with his entrepreneur mindset. Colin's mindset is very sport-like so he knew that there was no stopping him and he was going to go all the way with more promotions to come. He has definitely brought a new excitement to our office and we are extremely excited to see the new ideas he has to bring.

Prencis Chism Promotion!
Congratulations are in order to Prencis Chism on her wonderful promotion.
The one thing that has really helped Prencis Chism get her to her promotion was thinking positively. With a positive attitude, we experience more of a pleasant feeling that brings energy, brightness, and happiness to our eyes as well as success. So Prencis definitely shined through her days since she started just weeks ago. Positive thinking is contagious and Prencis has definitely brought her energy into our office by affecting the people who she would meet in one way or another. For her, it happens instinctively and on a subconscious level, through words, thoughts and feelings, and through body language.
We are all so proud of you!

Executive of the Week
Congrats to Joshua Jordan for being the top gentlemen this week by motivating others with his daily morning quotes which he posts onto our GroupMe chats where the office all stay connected in.
"Successful people are givers and not takers of positive energy. My point is, if you maintain a positive 'tude its transferable to other people. Staying positive will get you to your goals a lot quicker. This is a way to success, and success should be your only option. #Jordan23"

Rachel V. Promotion
Congrats Rachel Valice!
We are ecstatic to announce Rachel’s promotion. She started
less than a couple of weeks ago and now she is already promoted to an Executive
Trainer. Our office knew she would be someone who we will need to watch out for
when she first walked into our office. Rachel grew up in the Macomb County and
is a recent graduate from Grand Valley State University in April of 2015. She
graduated with her Bachelors in Communications with studies in Advertising
& Public Relations with a minor of Studio Arts. Some things that Rachel
enjoys participating in during her free time are a low key night with a movie,
a relaxing night of ready, playing video games, and surfing. Modern is
definitely excited to have this young lady part of our organization.
