Cinco de Mayo!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!
When we think of Cinco de Mayo on May 5th, we often correlate the day with upbeat music, bands, salsa dancing, great food, and fun times. But we forget what the definition of the day may be. Cinco de Mayo translates to the “Fifth of May” in Spanish which is also known as the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico that is celebrated for winning in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon. Now, there are many festivities to celebrate the occasion and usually occurs for a week. It’s good to remember the hard work behind the military that has fought for what they believed in and for what they wanted. We continued to do that every day, whether it’s going to school to receive our degree in something or to put 110% in at the office to make sure we get promoted. Make sure we all are going after our goals and dreams to be where we want to be.
Have a great celebration today and celebrate safely everyone!
