Let’s get this week started!

Let's get our week started after a mini vacation from
Memorial Weekend!

A break, vacation, or trip is always something everyone looked forward.
Setting your days, weeks, months, and life up is a must in order to continue to
learn and develop ourselves and to help others. Here are some tips on
how to kick start your week feeling motivated.

Practice Smart Weekend Habits:
Instead of procrastinating, run errands and get
majority of your much needed tasks done.

Plan Ahead:
Prioritize your tasks throughout the week and schedule in
some personal  time. Use up your Sunday to whip up a meal for
lunch the next day or casseroles for dinner throughout the week.
Set up a plan to ease your week.

Tackle Tough Assignments During Peak Hours:
Put your energy into assignments in the beginning of the week
so when the weekend gets closer, you would not have to
use your brain power as much.

Daniel B. LOW

Congrats ‘Dan the Man’ on getting voted to run one of
our motivational meetings this week!

Get to Know Mr. Burns:
       1. Dan has only been in the business for 3 weeks and is now already one of the
           top guys in the office.
       2. He is definitely caffeine sensitive; which is why our management team has
limited him to only one cup of coffee per day.
       3. Dan is a big sports guy who played football and wrestling.
       4. The most unusual thing Dan has ever eaten was peanut butter and jelly
           sandwich with crackers on top.
       5. Cody and Calvin who is pictured with Dan below are his two trainers
when he first began and now they are the closest of friends and co-workers.

How to Stay Motivated

Each one of us has motivation, some things that spark our motivation are similar and some are not. But each of us tends to lose sight of what our goals are when things become foggy. So here are some tips and suggestion to live by in order to never lose sight of what you desire.

1.  Set goals and visualize them to the detail
You should know what you are achieving in order to have a purpose and set up ways to get there.
2.  List reasons why you are accomplishing the goals for
Connect yourself mentally and emotionally. Everyone has a why behind what they are doing.
3.  Have strategy
Work smarter not harder.
4. Get help
Reach out to others for help, we all need someone.
5. Have fun
Make things fun and enjoy the moments with fun stories to
share once your goal is hit.

Cody D. LOW

Every week, we have someone who is chosen to run our meetings when they are setting the right example in and outside of the office. Selected by his peers, Cody Dominguez has been a go-to guy to his business partners. When the CEO of the company is out for a day or two, he depends on Cody to make sure the office is run smoothly. Cody has been running the office by setting up the schedule for the day, making sure everyone is getting developed and has the right training, running announcements, and etc. He has been the top guy in the office these past couple of weeks, so we are definitely excited to see his next promotion within the next couple of months.

Toledo Visits & Columbus Trip!

Toledo Visits:
Toledo gets a chance to learn from us as well as swapping their own knowledge to our guys. A business that has limitless opportunities for growth with being able to help others on the way to the top is a unique structure we love doing.

Be unique in order to do extraordinary things!

Columbus Trip:
After the office, the four gentlemen who took a trip down to Columbus to visit got a chance to network and discuss business with our two office directors and our amazing regional director. Josh and Robert could not stop gloating about the experience posting multiple pictures to our office group chat. It’s great what hard work gifts us.

Daniel B. promoted to an ETT!

Daniel, also known as “Damn Skippy Dan” by the office, started on April 27, 2015 and just weeks later, he is celebrating his first of many promotions to come. When Dan first came into our office, he told us that he wanted to do something with his life because he “wanted to do things people wouldn’t be able to do.” It’s amazing how dedication and drive works. When one’s mind is set to complete a mission with their all, it will be completed. Today, we get to announce our newest promotion to the Executive Trainer position.  The best part about it was that he made it seem so effortless and it was definitely not a surprised when one of his goals was reached.

Modern LLC is excited to see what’s to come with this young man in this upcoming year.

Motivation Time!

Every second, minute, and hour, there are large mass of individuals who are thinking to themselves “Can I do this anymore?” There’s always some self doubt when times gets too tuff, but the strongest individuals are always the ones who are able to stick through the hardest moments and times in life. If we were to quit every task we started when there was one hard moment, we would never be able to accomplish anything. Everything that is started needs to be completed to have a sense of relieve for all the hard work we have put in. If we were to quit, then there would have been no improvement in our mentality because we are in the same position as when we started in the beginning. Don’t stop and continue to reach your goals because living life is about accomplishing great things for our mind, body, and soul.

6 Things You Should Quit Doing to Be More Successful

As human beings, we often don’t realize the thing that we are doing that causes us to become stagnant. Sometimes we blame everything else but ourselves when we are not able to develop ourselves to our full potentials.  There are 6 things that Forbes has stated that we continue to do to ourselves that causes us to not be more successful than what we should be.

Here are a couple of things that Forbes stated that we should quit doing:

Quit Stopping
-        “Remember why you started it, then push onward. Because the more you stop and think about quitting, the longer it’ll take to get to your desired result.
Quit Saying Tomorrow
-        “Delaying or procrastinating around something that you think is important means one of two things. You’re either scared to start because it means your life will change or you want it for the wrong reasons (i.e. someone else is encouraging you to do it).
Quit Being a Victim
-        “Our social groups are great for complaining. We all discuss our problems with our friends and that’s ok. But there are limits. Everyone gets a few opportunities to complain about a particular hardship, but if you seek advice and respond with “but I can’t” (said in whiny voice) too many times, you officially become a victim. Eventually, you’ll have to ask yourself whether you even want to fix the problem.
Quit Saying Yes
-        “It could be you don’t need to entirely quit saying yes. You may just need to analyze when you’re saying yes and what you’re trading for it. You might find yourself saying yes to things you don’t even care about and no to things that could make your life better in some way.
Quit Expecting
-        “Your boss is like your significant other. Don’t expect them to read your mind. They’ll only know what you need when you tell them. If you really have your heart set on something (like a promotion), you must be vocal about it. If you don’t speak up, you’re leaving the translation up to them. Expect at your own risk.
Quit Avoiding
-        “If we didn’t have to work hard to reach success, we wouldn’t appreciate it. If there’s something you’re putting off because it’s boring you, it’s hard, physically demanding or tiring…just get up and get it done. Quit avoiding it. There will be rewards along the way and there will be a great sense of accomplishment at the end.

Cinco de Mayo!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!
When we think of Cinco de Mayo on May 5th, we often correlate the day with upbeat music, bands, salsa dancing, great food, and fun times. But we forget what the definition of the day may be. Cinco de Mayo translates to the “Fifth of May” in Spanish which is also known as the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. Cinco de Mayo is a national holiday in Mexico that is celebrated for winning in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon. Now, there are many festivities to celebrate the occasion and usually occurs for a week. It’s good to remember the hard work behind the military that has fought for what they believed in and for what they wanted. We continued to do that every day, whether it’s going to school to receive our degree in something or to put 110% in at the office to make sure we get promoted. Make sure we all are going after our goals and dreams to be where we want to be.
Have a great celebration today and celebrate safely everyone!

Office Night 4.30.2015

Pictured from Left to Right: Director – Dustin W., ETT – Daumauria M.,
AE – Avery M., [our ETT Neika’s daughter], ETT – Cody D., Director – Rob H.

Yesterday we got the chance to network with a couple of the directors who came up for their Directors Refreshers this week and it was also our weekly family time also known as office night. The office ended up going to our Director Dustin’s place for a small cook out with some brats and burgers, to have a cupcake or two, watch the draft, and to play a game. The room was filled with throwback stories, laughter, and great energy for a memorable night.

We got the chance to kick off the month of May by celebrating a bonus, a promotion, and many birthdays. Daumauria, Avery, Neika’s daughter, and Cody all enjoyed their birthday month kick off and their chocolate cupcake. D had more than just his birthday on his mind; he was extremely excited about his promotion. D is currently our newest Executive Team Trainer here at Modern; that’s definitely not a bad birthday present. We also got the chance to get some coaching advice from Rob who runs one of the top organizations in our company, so we would say that Thursday wasn't a bad day at all this week at the office.
